Credential-based Data Access
A Query Browser is software that allows you to grab (query) data from a Database. However, what do you do when you have multiple teams that need access to a Database but not everyone is authorized to all of the information?
Umbra Digital has taken the normal Query Browser a step further by configuring an easy-to-use query management control board. Let's say you have a Database with the following tables:
- Profiles
- Orders
- Sales
Department A needs to run a query every week to grab all Profiles and Orders. However, the Sales table is strickly prohibited as this would show your company's Monthly Revenue. Department B needs all tables as they provide you with your (confidential) Revenue and Earnings Report.
Using our Custom Query Browser, you'll be able to create credentials for Department A that only allows them to ever query the Profiles and Orders tables and credentials for Department B to query all.
